Suzhou Valve Factory grew out of the Local State-own Suzhou Steel Factory and founded in July, 1952. At first, its main products were casting steel pipe and fittings.
In the year of 1953, the Local State-own Suzhou Steel Factory began to develop industrial valve, and successfully manufactured the first 500M/M shaper and 255M/M lathe of Suzhou.

In the year of 1959, Local State-own Suzhou Forging & Welding Factory and Donghai Mechanical Factory incorporated in.

In March of 1960, the Local State-own Suzhou Steel Factory separated as "Suzhou Valve Factory" and "Suzhou Casting Mechanical Factory".

In the year of 1961, Local State-own Suzhou Valve Factory had been put under the China Second Mechanical Industrial Bureau administration.

In the year of 1962, "Local State-own Suzhou Valve Factory" was renamed as "State-own Suzhou Valve Factory (abbreviated as SVC)".

In the year of 1979, SVC began to manufacture all kinds of valves.

In the year of 1982, SVC obtained the first API certificate among Chinese valve industry.
In the year of 1988, products of SVC were first exported to foreign country.

In the year of 1991, SUFA LTD in Dubai, U.A.E was set up.

In the year of 1995, a ball valve joint-venture company was set up between SUFA and WATTS, USA. Now this company was renamed as Suzhou KF Valve Co., Ltd.
In the year of 1997, Suzhou Valve Co., Ltd (abbreviated as SUFA) was set up, in the same time SUFA stock was successfully issued in Chinese market.

In the year of 1998, a new joint-venture company --Suzhou Sufada Valve Co., Ltd was established by SUFA and DA Company of Germany.

In the year of 1999, Tehran SUFA J.V. CO., LTD was set up in Iran.
